I have spent years working in construction permitting in Florida, and somewhere along the way I realized that most homeowners are not confused because they are not smart enough to understand the process.
They are confused because nobody ever explained it to them in plain English.

WHY NEXTPERMIT EXISTS
That bothered me.

So I started writing. First for myself, then for the homeowners I kept running into who had the same questions, the same fears, and the same frustrating experiences with building departments.
